The Verified Post is an independent digital publication covering history, culture, entrepreneurship, entertainment, and the overlooked stories behind major events. We publish one carefully researched long-form story each week.
Akber Bukhari
Akber Bukhari is the founding editor of The Verified Post. He researches and writes the publication's evidence-backed long-form journalism — covering history, public health, human rights, and the untold cultural stories behind major events. His reporting draws on primary documents, archival records, and peer-reviewed studies, and every article is fact-checked against its original sources before publication. He founded The Verified Post in 2026 to bring rigorously sourced, independent reporting to a wider audience.
What We Do
We tell the human stories that typically get reduced to footnotes. A forgotten inventor. A pop-culture moment that reveals something larger. A historical figure whose real story has been flattened by retelling. Our articles run 8–15 minutes — long enough to do justice to a story, short enough to finish over coffee.
We do not cover breaking news. We do not give medical, financial, or legal advice. We do not publish opinion columns. We publish narrative nonfiction rooted in primary sources.
Our Editorial Process
Every article on The Verified Post is:
- Researched from primary and authoritative secondary sources — archival press coverage, academic journals, biographies, census records, museum holdings, and established reference works. Sources are listed at the end of each article.
- Written and edited by our editorial team, who verify every claim against original sources. Like most modern newsrooms, we use a range of digital tools — search databases, reference systems, and AI-assisted drafting — as part of our research and writing process. Every published sentence is reviewed, fact-checked, and approved by a human editor.
- Held to a single standard of accuracy. A human is responsible for every cited claim and every editorial judgment. Errors are our responsibility.

Who Writes The Verified Post
Every article is researched, written, and edited by Akber Bukhari, the publication's founding editor. He is personally responsible for the sourcing, fact-checking, and editorial judgment behind each piece — a single, accountable byline rather than anonymous bylines. What We Don't Cover
To be useful to readers, we stay inside our lane. The Verified Post does not publish:
- Medical, health, nutritional, or psychological advice
- Financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
- Breaking news or live reporting
- Opinion or advocacy content
When a historical topic touches on medicine or finance, we report it as history — not as guidance for present-day decisions.
Corrections
If you find an error, email us with the article URL and the issue. We correct errors in-line, append a dated correction note at the top of the article, and log significant corrections on our corrections page.
