Finally, the UAE fuel price committee has declared reductions in petroleum products, like petrol and diesel for October, thus aligning with the global oil market downturn.
The news rates with effect from October 1 are as follows:
- Special 95 Petrol: Dh 2.54 per litre (down from Dh 2.78)
- Super 98 petrol: Dh 2.66 per litre (down from Dh 2.90 in September)
- EPlus 91 petrol: Dh 2.47 per litre (down from Dh 2.71)
- Diesel: Dh2.60 per liter(down from Dh 2.78)
Due to the subdued global oil prices it was dropped and anticipated, and Brent oil prices averaged $73 per barrel, compared to $78.63 in August 2024. It was driven by factors like Saudi Arabia”s plan to boost production and increase the supply of petroleum products.
Moreover, UAE” ‘s fuel price committee analyses and adjusts retail fuel rates on a monthly basis to account for the global rates following the deregulation of petrol prices in 2015.
